JACK WALKER, JR.

I began drawing at a young age and I received some attention for my drawings very early in life.  This fueled my passion for art and drawing became a big part of who I am. 

I took a few art classes in college, but I also was playing guitar in rock bands. My love of the guitar overshadowed my love for drawing for the better part of the next 50 years. 

Occasionally I would pick up a pencil and sketch, but it was rare.  I got married to the love of my life, raised 4 wonderful children and worked way too much to think about art. 

When I retired, i started looking for something to fill the time that I suddenly had. Why not draw, I decided. 

When I started showing my work to friends, they encouraged me to share my art at farmers markets. I had never been to a farmers market, and had no idea what they were about.  After a couple visits to markets, I took the plunge, and here we are.  I've come a long way, and I am so proud to now be a juried artist in mixed media in 2026. It is my hope that you enjoy my work and it brings you fond memories of places you have been to, or hope to visit in the future.
